Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we are now looking for an experienced Commercial Estimator to take ownership of tendering across HV/LV grid connection projects and large-scale EV infrastructure builds.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing the full tendering process and ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely submissions to support project delivery and business growth.

About the role:

We are looking for a Commercial Estimator to take ownership of tendering across a growing portfolio of HV/LV grid connection projects and large-scale EV infrastructure builds. Due to increasing customer demand and the need for faster turnaround on quotations, this is a key hire within the business and offers the opportunity to make a real impact.

 

What you’ll be doing:

As a Commercial Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the full tendering process, ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely submissions across a variety of power and infrastructure projects. Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Preparing and submitting tenders for HV and LV grid connection projects and commercial EV infrastructure schemes

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)

• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical input

• Managing multiple tenders simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

• Supporting commercial decision-making with accurate cost analysis

 

What we're looking for:

We are looking for a commercially aware and detail-oriented estimator who can take ownership of the tendering function and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Essential experience includes:

• Experience in estimating within civils, utilities, or power sectors

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tenders and prioritise workload effectively

• Solid understanding of HV/LV or power infrastructure projects

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset

 

Required skills and experience:

• Experience preparing tenders for utilities, civils, or infrastructure projects

• Good understanding of drawings, specifications, and BOQs

• Experience liaising with subcontractors and suppliers

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software (desirable)

• Full UK driving licence (for occasional site visits)
