Rate: £200-£300 per day depending on experience
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Job description
DSL Civils is part of the CASS family, working together to deliver high-quality civils services across the UK. Recognised for our technical excellence, outstanding client service, and a strong commitment to health & safety. We are looking for an established 3-Team Gang to take ownership of on-site projects, including cable pulling, substation plinths, and a wide range of civils and groundworks. Working under the Supervisor, your team will deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the high standards DSL Civils is known for. This is a hands-on role, involving heavy lifting and practical work, so the team must be ready to get stuck in.
What You'll Be Doing:

Support and coordinate with the team to ensure high-quality groundworks and civils works are delivered

Undertake civils projects including drainage, concreting, block laying, kerbing, cable pulling, and substation plinth construction

Adhere to site-specific risk assessments, briefing the team and any visitors on hazards

Plan daily workloads and coordinate plant, vehicles, and material requirements
Operate and maintain plant and vehicles safely -
Keep accurate records and liaise with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors

Report any safety, performance, or operational concerns to the Supervisor
What We're Looking For:
The ideal 3-Team Gang will be an established gang, skilled and capable of delivering on-site projects. As a team, you must have experience with cable pulling, substation plinths, and civils. Essential experience include:

Practical experience in civils, groundworks or utilities

Proactive, hard-working, and committed to delivering high standards of service

Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers and environments
-
Physically capable of performing manual handling and groundworks tasks

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues under supervision
Required Skills & Experience:
You must collectively hold the following qualifications and experience (not every member is required to have all of them individually):

CSCS Card
-
Full UK Driving Licence
-
Extensive experience in civils or groundworks
-
360 or Dumper Ticket (NPORS)
-
SHEA Power
-
SWQR Operative Certificate (Units 001–007 & 009)
-
Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2 (minimum)
