Rate: £200-£220 per day depending on experience

We are now looking for an experienced Ganger / Groundworker to join an established 3-person team, supporting on-site projects including cable pulling, substation plinth construction, and general civils works. You will work under the Lead Ganger and Supervisor, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of projects while performing hands-on groundworks tasks.
This is a physically active role, so you’ll need to be ready to get stuck in and support your team on all aspects of site operations
What You'll Be Doing:
As the supporting gang member, you’ll play a key hands-on role in assisting the team to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality site work. Reporting to the Lead Ganger, you’ll support all day-to-day activities and help ensure projects run smoothly.
Your day-to-day activities will include:

Assisting the Lead Ganger and operatives with groundworks projects, including drainage, concreting, block laying, kerbing, cable pulling, and substation plinths

Following site-specific risk assessments and health & safety procedures

Operating plant and vehicles under supervision, including routine checks where required

Preparing materials, assisting with plant setup, and supporting daily workloads

Reporting any health, safety, or operational concerns to the Lead Ganger or Supervisor

Keeping the site organised and maintaining a safe working environment

Working collaboratively with the team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a reliable, physically capable, and experienced team player who can support the Lead Ganger and the team. Essential experience include:

Practical experience in civils, groundworks or utilities

Proactive, hard-working, and committed to delivering high standards of service

Comfortable working outdoors in all weathers and environments
-
Physically capable of performing manual handling and groundworks tasks

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues under supervision
Required Skills & Experience:
-
CSCS, NRSWA & SPA
-
Experience with cable pulling, substation plinths, or additional civils works
-
Basic experience operating plant or vehicles is desirable (360/Dumper Ticket NPORS preferred but not essential)

Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2

Full UK manual driving licence (minimum 12 months)

Clear DBS

NRSWA Unit 2
